IGF-1 LR3
A long-acting insulin-like growth factor 1 analog studied in cellular growth and proliferation models.
What it is
IGF-1 LR3 is a modified form of insulin-like growth factor 1 with an extended N-terminal sequence and an arginine substitution at position 3. Those modifications reduce its binding to IGF-binding proteins, which the research literature associates with a longer functional half-life in the models where it is studied.
How it is studied
It is used in cell-culture research as a growth factor for studying proliferation, differentiation, and signaling through the IGF-1 receptor. It is a research reagent, not an approved therapeutic, and results in culture do not translate to conclusions about people.
Purity and COA
As a full-length growth-factor analog, identity confirmation by mass spectrometry matters as much as the HPLC purity figure; both are documented per batch on the COA you receive.
